Hojicha Karigane Roasted Green Tea Leaves
Hojicha Karigane is made from the stems of high grade tea leaves. This nourishing roasted green tea has a deeply sweet flavor and smooth body with every sip, that helps to relax the brain and body. A low caffeine drink suit all ages and even cool you on a sizzling hot day.
Loose leaf (for 1 pax)
[Hot]
Add (2g) Hojicha loose leaf into a teapot. Pour 160ml of hot water (95°C ~ 100°C) into the teapot. Let it steep for 30 seconds and you're done! The longer you steep, the stronger it tastes.
[Cold]
Combine (8g) Hojicha loose leaf and 750ml of filter water in a bottle. Let it steep and refrigerate for 4~6 hours.

[Hot]
Whisk (1 teaspoon) Hojicha powder to (60ml) of 80°C room temperature water and (1 teaspoon) maple syrup / brown sugar syrup, using a bamboo whisk, handheld frother, or spoon. (Sugar concotion based on your preference.)
Steam and froth 180ml whole milk or oat milk. Pour it into your mug. Stir well and you're done!
[Cold]
Add handful of ices into a glass and 180ml of cold milk.
Whisk (2 teaspoon) Hojicha powder, 60ml room temperature water and (1 tablespoon) maple syrup or brown sugar syrup until fully dissolved. (Sugar concotion based on your preference.)
Gently pour your Hojicha-mix directly onto one of the ice cubes to create the layered effect.

Mix (16~18g) Hojicha powder with 30ml of warm water in a cup, whisk it until combined. Add handful of ices and 220ml cold whole milk or oat milk in a cup, then pour Hojicha-mix in. Enjoy!
